Have you ever felt hopeless in your life?
Are you in need of comfort, encouragement, and hope especially, as you look at the world and all that's taking place? Every one of us as humans desire these and need these. The problem is we at times (more than we may like to admit) seek to find them in things that are temporary or let us down. Thankfully, the truths of God and His gospel offer us a better and everlasting alternative. Through our believing in and belonging to Jesus, we can have a live life with comfort, encouragement, and hope.
First and Second Thessalonians remind us of these realities by declaring that Jesus is returning for ALL of His people, including those Christians who have died. As a result, our lives are to be characterized by trust, confidence, obedience, and devotion to Jesus as we wait for His glorious return. Because He is the foundation and source of hope, we as His followers can endure in the present while anticipating His glorious return in the future.
